They may be used with units Listed under Local Alarm Units (AOTX). The transmission methods used to connect the protected premises to the police station or central station are designated as basic or intermediate line security suitable for Grades A or B, or high line security suitable for Grades AA, AA encryption, BB or BB encryption .

Proprietary Alarm Units (Commercial Burglary)

This category covers proprietary burglar alarm systems which are electrical monitoring systems designed to provide status indication of burglar alarm actuating devices. All equipment is intended to be operated and maintained by competent and experienced personnel responsible to the owner of the protected premise.
