Version 205

DMP Releases Latest Software for XR100/XR500 Panels
All DMP Burglary Panels Now Capable of Providing In Touch™ Messaging Features
DMP has released the latest upgrade to the XR100/XR500 Command Processor™ Panel software. Version 205 takes full advantage of the DMP In Touch Messaging features, already introduced on the XT Series panel line, that allows users to control their alarm systems via SMS text commands from their cell phone or a browser.
Users could already receive text or email messages from their alarm system, but now they can arm and disarm their system, control outputs, retrieve system status and perform other functions from their cell phone. Each command received by the panel is acknowledged back to the user via return SMS message. Users also have the option to automatically receive status messages and alarms directly to their cell phone and/or email, selecting up to three destinations for each message (up to 48 characters).
“Users can now interact with the entire line of DMP Burglary panels from anywhere they have cell phone service,” said Vice President of Sales, Mark NeSmith. “In addition to the current methods DMP provides for users to remotely manage their systems via the E-Pad, Version 205 makes it even easier for them to not only send commands, but to instantly know when there’s been an event on their security system.”
Major changes in the Version 205 release include:
Panel Commands via SMS Text: Users can control their alarm system via cell phone by sending simple text messages.
- DISARM to turn all areas of the system off
- HOME/PERIM to arm only the perimeter
- SLEEP to arm the perimeter and selected interior sensors (Residential installations)
- AWAY/ALL to arm all areas of the system
- ARM/DISARM [area number] to control selected system areas
- CANCEL to turn off an accidental alarm
- STATUS to ask the system to reply with its status, e.g. ARMED, READY, ALARM, etc.
Turn Outputs On/OFF: Provides remote control ofHome/Building Automation Systems - Heating and ventilation controls, lighting, building automation, and other systems integrated with the user’s alarm system can be controlled by texting ON or OFF followed by the name of the device or system, e.g. ON SPRINKLERS, ON LIGHTS, etc.
Each command received by the system is acknowledged back to the user via a return text message.
Subscribe to Text Messages: Users can select (at anytime via cell phone command) which type of messages are sent from the panel to their cell phone via text. Subscribe to all messages for arming/disarming in addition to alarms, subscribe to only alarm messages and no arming/disarming occurrences or subscribe to other users arming/disarming with the exception of the ones initiated by this user.
Monthly Limit: This option limits excessive messages to cellular numbers or email sent over cell.
Additional New Features:
32 Character Names: Name fields such as User Names, Zone Names, Area Names, User Profiles, Output Names and Output Group Names can now be expanded from 16 characters to 32 character names. Central Stations can now select whether they receive 16 or 32 characters.
Zone Audit Days: Allows for programming of the panel to send an alert when the sensors fails to trip within the specified number of days.
Benefits of Version 205
Enhanced Recurring Revenue Opportunities: In Touch messages are transmitted directly between the panel and cell phone or browser with no external servers. Dealers can offer these much-appreciated services to their customers and realize the benefits of additional recurring revenue.
A 463G is required for cellular services, and comes with a SIM card ready for activation with Securecom Wireless, LLC.
