Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) has received authorization from Underwriters' Laboratories to apply the UL Listed mark to its 463G Digital Cellular Communicator for use as a backup commercial fire communicator. The 436G is an easy-to-install expansion card for the XR500 Series Access, Burglary & Fire Command ProcessorTM panel that creates a direct, wireless communications path to any DMP Central Station receiver.
"The recent authorization expands the applications for the 463G Digital Communicator," said Customer Care Manager, Jeff Britton. "With the new certification for use in commercial fire applications, installers can now easily and affordably incorporate a flexible, reliable cellular communication link between panels and Central Stations in fire panel installations."
The 463G Digital Cellular Communicator received the ANSI/UL 864 Fire Protective Signaling System listing. This application allows the second telephone line of an XR500 Series panel commercial fire system to be replaced with the 463G. The Path Backup CELL programming for supervision need only be a daily automatic recall test.
The 436G requires no external power supplies, enclosures, batteries, cabling, or conduit connections, simplifying installation and strengthening system security. It provides a direct, wireless connection between the panel and Central Station with no alarm signal retransmission, providing faster and more reliable communications.
