“Dealers can gain new market share by having the ability to update any control panel to include new lifestyle features with the iComSL Series,” said Executive Director of Marketing, Mark Hillenburg. “When introduced, the CellComSL series of universal alarm communicators created an easy upgrade path to provide older panels and now the iComSL offers the same benefits but on a network connection.”
Additionally, Ademco Keypad Bus support is also available on the iComSL series for easy connection to Honeywell panels. Once installed, the communicator captures the Contact ID, and forwards it to the selected Central Station using the account number entered by the installer. The communicator can also be connected to the host panel using four zone inputs or even monitor the alarm bell output to sense the bell cadence.
The primary function of the iComSL network unit is to provide alarm dealers with a solution to update existing panels so that end-users may benefit from new lifestyle features for that older panel. Dealers don’t have to worry about locked panels; installers can just add the DMP iComSL unit onto existing ‘dialer’ installations and with Contact-ID dialer capture immediately get full alarm communication directly into DMP receivers. End-Users can take advantage of full alarm control and utilize Z-Wave® lights, locks, thermostat and garage door control along with video all controlled from the DMP Virtual Keypad™ App or MyVirtualKeypad.com.
Full iComSL system programming over network is available using Virtual Link which includes zone information and Central Station communications. Virtual Link allows companies to deploy iComSLs at an accelerated rate, quickly programming them from the same website that activates the unit, to keep up with the demand of 2G upgrade requirements.
