ESX Spotlights Wireless PIR, SecureCom Video™ NVR as Innovation Award Winners

Called "Next-Gen Products that Offer Significant Opportunities for Growth"

Today’s smart consumers expect the best in video surveillance and intrusion security to protect their homes and businesses. In response to those expectations, DMP introduced its new Wireless PIR Motion Detector, as well as the SecureCom Video NVR. This week’s ESX show in Indianapolis selected both as 2019 recipients of the industry’s acclaimed ESX Innovation Awards.

As announced at the ESX show this week, these awards distinguish innovation and excellence in the security industry — and identify the next-gen products and services that will offer significant opportunities for growth. In particular, both of DMP’s award-winning products give dealers a competitive edge by offering more reliable security solutions that are safer and easier to install.

SecureCom Video NVR
The NVR is designed with DMP’s exclusive EASYconnectVPN™, giving dealers the opportunity to expand in the residential and commercial markets by offering mobile connectivity that’s also encrypted. This is ideal for customers who haven’t yet invested in a video surveillance system because they worry about being vulnerable to hackers and the insecurity of the Internet.

This high-definition NVR supports up to eight SecureCom Video or ONVIF® compatible cameras and stores up to 2 terabytes of recorded video. Not only does it provide access to live video stream from IP cameras via the Virtual Keypad App, but it also adds simultaneous around-the-clock local recording. As an added benefit for commercial customers, it has the capacity to expand up to 12 TB of storage.

This NVR also guarantees easy plug-and-play installation. Within a couple of minutes of plugging in the cameras, it detects and configures automatically. Coupled with that, it provides POE, eliminating the need for external power supply. In combination with cameras, this NVR gives users everything they need for a fully integrated, high-quality video surveillance system that’s easy to set up and simple to use.

Two-Way Wireless™ PIR
Like all 1100 Series wireless products, the 1122 PIR is engineered with two-way communication and employs 900 MHz frequency-hopping spread-spectrum technology. This distinguishes it from other one-way sensors that transmit signals several times in the hopes that the control panel will receive the signal at least once. On the other hand, the 1122 device only needs to send a single signal to the receiver, and a single acknowledgement is returned. All this in a compact size that’s $20 less than the previous unit.

The 1122 also has a generous coverage area of 90° 40 x 40 and several remote programmable features including disarm/disable and selectable pet immunity up to 55 pounds. The power of the unit comes from its ability to be configured over the air from the keypad or remotely from software. Adjust Pulse Count, place into Walk Test, and adjust sensitivity are all powerful features that create significant benefit to the dealer and the consumer.

Receiving the awards at the ESX show this week was Mark Hillenburg, executive director of DMP’s Marketing Department. “ESX is an important show for us, and it’s an honor to see both of these products win the innovation award,” he said. “We’re excited that others see the value in these products.”

“Both of these award-winning solutions give our dealers the tools they need to reinforce value and brand loyalty among their existing customers and grow with new ones,” added Mark NeSmith, vice president, Sales. “We’re honored to be among this year’s award recipients and equally honored to partner with our dealers in providing the services their customers want.”
