Featuring Alarm Communications and Control at ASIS 2008

Expanded Communications and Control Options Strengthen Security Systems

Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) invites security professionals attending ASIS 2008 to visit the DMP show booth and see the latest enhancements to alarm panel technology. Recent innovations on display include the new XT Series Burglary/Fire/Door Access Panel, the 463G Digital Cellular Communicator, Version 202 software and Entré Access-control and Alarm-management Software for the popular XR500 Command Processor Panel. Booth visitors will have the opportunity for hands-on exploration of these and other DMP innovations.

"We continue to make the best even better," said Vice President of Sales Jeff McAleer. "We've done that with breakthrough innovations in the communication capabilities of our panels. We are eager to give security professionals the opportunity to see how these new products will help ensure that every signal and alarm continues to be reliably transmitted by the panel and received by the Central Station through innovative, adaptive paths of communication."

The XT Series panel provides a complete set of communications options in an all-in-one, all on-board design that is one of the most affordable panels on the market. Users can select any combination of network, cellular, and dial-up communications, while also taking advantage of the built-in two-way wireless capability. The panel can be configured to send users text (SMS) messages of alarms or signals. The all-in-one design means clean, compact installations with no additional enclosures or connections.

The 463G Digital Cellular Communicator expansion card for XR500 panels provides an easy way to add cellular communications to a panel as either the primary link or a reliable backup. The 463G creates full two-way TCP/IP communication between the panel and a DMP SCS-1R receiver. The compact expansion card installs directly on to the panel, and draws power from it, hence, no additional enclosures or support equipment are needed.

Version 202 software for XR500 panels makes the transition from dialer-focused communications to a true network/cellular communications approach. As many as eight communication paths can be configured, each with its own panel communication programming parameters. This creates stronger, multi-layered panel communications with multiple backups, ensuring that every alarm signal will be transmitted by the panel and received by the Central Station.

Entré Access-Control and Alarm-Management Software for end-users combines all related security systems under one common platform, with the speed and ease of use of an intuitive graphical user interface. Alarms and devices are represented visually on a facility "map," with clickable access to control or check the device status, and view other information. System managers now have fast, simple point-and-click control over every aspect of security systems.
