Plus Communicators Now Have 99 User Codes and Enhanced Functionality With VISTA® Panels
With this firmware release, XT panels and Com Series™ Universal Communicators will provide a new means of authentication as an added security feature. Panels will ship with a unique four- to five-digit pre-programmed installer code printed on the serial number label. The code will allow the installer access to the panel, just like the Default User Code (99) has previously.
DMP is making this change for compliance in California with Senate Bill 327. The bill requires all security manufacturers to equip their control panels with a new means of authentication before access is granted to the panel for the first time.
While this brings DMP into compliance in California, having this unique code tightens security on all customers’ XT panels and communicators by protecting them from unauthorized access. Com Series Exclusive Features
- Increased Number of User Codes
The number of user codes that can be stored in CellCom, DualCom and iComSL Series Communicators has increased to 99.
- Send User Codes on ECP Bus
DMP’s Com Series have allowed you to manage the user codes of a VISTA panel. Now, with Version 194, you’ll be able to manage those codes remotely without requiring you to log in to the VISTA panel with a master code. For your convenience, this feature allows you to change user codes in Dealer Admin™ and push them remotely to a VISTA panel over the ECP Bus.
