Door Type in Device Setup
End users with XT panels can now enjoy even more flexibility through Virtual Keypad™. This update adds a door programming option so users have the option to view their door devices and remotely lock and unlock their access control modules, conveniently from their app. As a store owner with an XT panel, for instance, this means you can unlock the store’s safe and grant access to the manager, even when you’re not there.
Support for 7463 Network Keypad
This spring, you may recall we introduced the 7463 Network Thinline Keypad with DMP’s XR Series™ panels. With this release, your XT and XTL Series panels have that same compatibility with up to seven network keypads. In buildings already wired for IP network, this means you can simply find your network drop, install and program the keypad to talk to the panel, and you’re done. This keeps the job costs lower, all while you continue to get the same reliable functionality and performance of DMP's hardwired keypads.
Removal of Messaging Setup
For all panels with firmware Version 202 and higher, Messaging Setup has been removed from panel programming and is no longer supported. However, in Dealer Admin™, you can set customers up to receive text messages, push notifications or email messages for panel events through Virtual Keypad.
Other XT Version 202 Release Enhancements
PIR Walk Test Remote Command
You can now initiate a PIR Walk Test remotely from Dealer Admin or the Tech APP™. This test works similarly to the Wireless Walk Test and Standard Walk Test. The PIR needs to be tripped in order to test properly. The PIR LED will flash each time motion is detected for up to 30 minutes.
Automatic Prompt for New Wi-Fi Password
Changing Wi-Fi passwords periodically is a best practice to avert hackers. But some users may not be aware that their systems’ internet connection to their monitoring centers has failed as a result of making that change. With this release, we’ve added a message at our Graphic Touchscreen and Thinline Series keypads prompting users to reestablish that connection by entering their new passwords. As soon as they do, the panel automatically connects to Wi-Fi.
