Keypads
Version 206 | January 27, 2023
Beginning in February, 5-Inch Touchscreen Series Keypads will be manufactured with firmware Version 206 (1/27/23). The following features are included:
Graphical Area Arming Screens
Area arming screens have been updated to display armed areas with the shield graphic next to the area.
Graphical area arming is not available for 9800 Series Wireless Touchscreen Keypads or XTLtouch systems.
Updated Red Alarm Screens
Alarm screens have been updated to display a brighter red screen when the system is in alarm.
Effective March 8th, 2021, all 7800INT and 9800INT Graphic Touchscreen Keypads will be manufactured with firmware Version 705 (2/18/21). Updated units will begin shipping after current inventory is depleted.
The following features are available:
Clean Option
The Clean Keypad Screen option locks the screen for 40 seconds so you can clean it without accidentally pressing buttons.
Clean a Touchscreen Keypad
Use gentle pressure to clean the display, screen, keys, and housing. Use only alcohol sprays or wipes that contain 70% isopropyl alcohol to clean keypad surfaces. Avoid spraying cleaner directly onto the keypad, over-saturating cleaning cloths, or allowing cleaner to make contact with internal electronic components, cables, or power sources.
- In the Carousel Menu, tap Options.
- Tap Clean Keypad Screen.
- Use an alcohol wipe or spray a small amount of rubbing alcohol onto a clean, dry microfiber cloth to gently wipe down all keypad touch surfaces, removing any excess cleaner.
- Wait 10 seconds, then completely dry all keypad surfaces.
- If necessary, use a clean, dry microfiber cloth to gently remove streaking. After the countdown timer expires, the keypad returns to normal operation. To exit the countdown early, press and hold the Shield icon for 2 seconds.
Programming Support Improvements (7800INT)
Wired graphic keypads can now be used to program 734INT Series Access Control Modules and 503INT Power Supplies. This enables installers to use a 7800INT Series graphic keypad to program these devices locally
Initial Power Up Improvements (9800INT Series)
When a 9800INT Series Wireless Touchscreen Keypad is powered on for the first time, the boot screen is displayed, then the home screen is displayed for approximately 15 seconds before transitioning automatically to the pairing screen. You can exit the pairing screen by tapping the Shield icon.
General Display Improvements
Occasionally, graphic touchscreen keypads may have displayed a white screen during processing which required the user to cycle power to the keypad. Version 705 (2/18/21) fixes this issue.
- After download is complete, unzip the files and save the unzipped files to the root directory of a Micro SD card formatted as FAT32.
- Insert the Micro SD card into the Micro SD card slot on the right side of the 7800 Series keypad.
- Enter the Installer Menu (3577), choose KPD OPT and press CMD to go to the Restart Keypad screen just after Select Language.
- Press RESTART. The keypad will load the new firmware from the Micro SD Card and then restart.
Caution: Do not remove the Micro SD card or disrupt power during this process. - When the keypad restart is complete, remove the Micro SD card from the keypad.

DOWNLOAD RELEASE NOTES
Version 194 | April 30, 2020
Effective April 30th, 2020, CellCom/iCOM Series Communicators updated Version 194 (4/30/20) firmware is available for download.
Communication Enhancement
When updating a CellCom or iCOM Series Communicator that was Version 182 or lower and using Dealer Admin to program the unit, the communicator would send unnecessary information in communication programming. Dealer Admin would display an error when trying to send programming to these communicators. Updated Version 194 (4/30/20) resolves this issue.
After updating the communicator to Version 194 (4/30/20), it is recommended to retrieve the programming from the communicator using Dealer Admin in order for the error to be resolved.
If you have a CellCom or iCom that is Version 183 or higher, this is not an issue.
