Keypads

Version 205 | February 18, 2021

Effective March 8th, 2021, all 7800, 7801 (XTLtouch), and 9800 Graphic Touchscreen Keypads will be manufactured with firmware Version 205 (2/18/21). Updated units will begin shipping after current inventory is depleted.

The following features are available:

Clean Option

The Clean Keypad Screen option locks the screen for 40 seconds so you can clean it without accidentally pressing buttons.

Clean a Touchscreen Keypad

Use gentle pressure to clean the display, screen, keys, and housing. Use only alcohol sprays or wipes that contain 70% isopropyl alcohol to clean keypad surfaces. Avoid spraying cleaner directly onto the keypad, oversaturating cleaning cloths, or allowing cleaner to make contact with internal electronic components, cables, or power sources.

  1. In the Carousel Menu, tap Options.
  2. Tap Clean Keypad Screen.
  3. Use an alcohol wipe or spray a small amount of rubbing alcohol onto a clean, dry microfiber cloth to gently wipe down all keypad touch surfaces, removing any excess cleaner.
  4. Wait 10 seconds, then completely dry all keypad surfaces.
  5. If necessary, use a clean, dry microfiber cloth to gently remove streaking. After the countdown timer expires, the keypad returns to normal operation. To exit the countdown early, press and hold the Shield icon for 2 seconds.

Programming Support Improvements (7800)

Wired graphic keypads can now be used to program 734 Series Access Control Modules. This enables installers to use a 7800 Series graphic keypad to program 734 options locally.

Initial Power Up Improvements (9800 Series)

When a 9800 Series Wireless Touchscreen Keypad is powered on for the first time, the boot screen is displayed, then the home screen is displayed for approximately 15 seconds before transitioning automatically to the pairing screen. You can exit the pairing screen by tapping the Shield icon.

General Display Improvements

Occasionally, graphic touchscreen keypads may have displayed a white screen during processing which required the user to cycle power to the keypad. Version 205 (2/18/21) fixes this issue.

Com Series

Version 212 | May 25, 2021

Effective June 14th, 2021, all CellComLTE Series Universal Communicators are being manufactured with Version 212 firmware.

EasyConnect AP
COM Series Communicators with built-in Wi-Fi can now use the EasyConnect AP process. This process allows the installer to connect the communicator to the desired Wi-Fi network with a mobile phone, tablet, or laptop.

The communicator will broadcast an SSID of DMP followed by the communicators serial number (ex. DMP12345678). Navigate to your Wi-Fi settings and select the communicators SSID in order to connect to it. Once connected, open a browser and type in 192.168.1.1. The Connection Settings page will load. The Connection Settings page allows you to select the Wi-Fi network you would like your communicator to use and it also allows you to type in the password for that network. Once the information has been entered and saved the Connection Settings page will no longer be available.
There is also a button labeled WPS. Pressing this button makes the Wi-Fi module enter WPS communication for 3 minutes. Once the communicator is in the WPS process, press the WPS button on the desired Wi-Fi router in order to complete the connection.

ECP Partition Number Selection
Previously, communicators were only able to manage the first partition programmed into the host panel. With Version 212, a new programming option has been added to System Options that gives users the ability to specify which partition the communicator is located in. When the host panel is armed or disarmed via the communicator, only the partition where the communicator is located will be armed or disarmed.

Send Stored Messages Support
COM Series Communicators are now able to use the Send Stored Messages feature in System Reports. This allows the communicator to store any messages that are not sent in the event of a communication failure, and send them when communication is restored, and functions exactly the same as it does on an XT50 panel.

Improved CID Capture

Version 212 firmware resolves an issue where the communicator would send the incorrect area number when for any area after 15.

ECP/DSC Setup

ECP and DSC Setup can now be triggered by Dealer Admin and the Tech APP. In order to use this feature, the installer code must be sent to the communicator.

Version 194 | April 30, 2020

Effective April 30th, 2020, CellCom/iCOM Series Communicators updated Version 194 (4/30/20) firmware is available for download.

Communication Enhancement

When updating a CellCom or iCOM Series Communicator that was Version 182 or lower and using Dealer Admin to program the unit, the communicator would send unnecessary information in communication programming. Dealer Admin would display an error when trying to send programming to these communicators. Updated Version 194 (4/30/20) resolves this issue.

After updating the communicator to Version 194 (4/30/20), it is recommended to retrieve the programming from the communicator using Dealer Admin in order for the error to be resolved.

If you have a CellCom or iCom that is Version 183 or higher, this is not an issue.

Software

Version 8.8.1 | May 11, 2021

Effective May 17, 2021, all Entré Security & Access Management software will be manufactured as Version 8.8.1 (5/11/21).

Entré 8.8.1 works with panel firmware Versions 181 to 202.

One Step Panel Deletion

In previous versions, to delete a panel, all the associated hardware, profiles, automation rules, etc. had to be deleted or disassociated before the panel itself could then be deleted. Now easily delete a panel by right-clicking the desired panel and selecting Delete. As before, the panel must be stopped prior to deletion. This will then delete all associated hardware and disassociate any attached profiles, automatic rules, etc.

Improved CSV Import

Previously, the CSV Import tool would not import badges when using an automation rule. Entre 8.8.1 (5/11/21) resolves that issue, and the CSV Import tool now imports badges using an automation rule.

Upgrading or Ordering the Software

Entré Security & Access Management Software is provided to dealers who have previously purchased an Entré license, are current with their Entré support agreement, and have an Entré Certified Technician.

To upgrade Entré, please complete the Pre-Upgrade Checklist before contacting the Software Support Team in DMP Technical Support at 888.436.7832.
