Communicator Serial Number in Serial 3 Messages
This update allows you to enable Serial 3 messages to include the communicator serial number. If enabled, the communicator family and corresponding serial number appear at the end of each Serial 3 message, allowing the monitoring center to identify the correct system if two communicators unintentionally use the same account numbers.
This update requires one of the following:
- SCS-VR Virtual Receiver
- SCS-1R Network Enabled Receiver with the SCS-150 Main Processor Card at firmware Version 108 (9/23/25).
To enable Serial 3 messages to include the Com Series serial number, complete the following steps:
- At the keypad, enter 6653 (PROG) and select CMD to enter the programming menu.
- At SYSTEM REPORTS, go to SYSTEM INFORMATION.
- Select YES to enable Serial 3 messages to include the communicator serial number. The default option is set to NO.
- Go to STOP to save programming.
To program Serial 3 messages to include the communicator serial number on Dealer Admin, refer to TU-1484.

- At ZONE INFORMATION, go to ZONE TYPE.
- Press CMD to view additional zone types until you see HU (Holdup) as an option.
- Select HU (Holdup) as the zone type, then press CMD.
- Configure additional Zone Information options as needed.
- Go to STOP to save programming.
To program a zone type as Holdup in Dealer Admin, refer to TU-1484.
Z-Wave Improvements
Previously the 738Z+ Z-Wave Plus Interface Module would remain in an action for longer than desired. This update allows the 738Z+ to return to its default state for quicker adding, editing, and deleting of Z-Wave devices and actions.
