DMP Introduces Traffic Count for the Virtual Keypad™ App

One of a Dozen or So DMP Products Introduced at the ISC Show

Visitors to the DMP booth (#23035) at ISC West can get a first look at a wide variety of recently introduced DMP technology. One of the new features available for review is Traffic Count. It’s one of the latest capabilities added to the Virtual Keypad App, which delivers mobile access to many panel features and functions in the palm of your customer's hand. Traffic Count is just one of the features that take DMP panels beyond providing reliable security, delivering additional, value-added capabilities that meet specific end-user needs in a variety of markets. While of special value to retail facilities, Traffic Count can be useful in a wide variety of commercial applications.

“Retail is one of the markets where DMP has created a number of features to meet the unique needs of users,” said Vice President of Sales, Mark NeSmith. “With Traffic Count, store managers gain valuable data on not just the number of customers through the store, but specifically where they went while on the premises. Any organization that wants to document the volume of foot traffic entering their premises or passing through any area of their facility will find the Traffic Count feature extremely useful.”

Users can rely on Traffic Count to provide audit details for loss-prevention purposes or to simply gather data on comparative foot traffic at different times of day or different days. It tracks the number of trips in each disarmed zone that’s programmed for Traffic Count. Beam detectors, door contacts, and PIR motion detectors can all be used to sense traffic. Up to 10 traffic-count zones can be programmed in XT, XTL or XR panels. Easy-to-view analytics provide comparisons of daily traffic to previous days, weeks, months, as well as three- or six-month comparisons. Traffic Count data is available in the palm of the user’s hand via the Virtual Keypad App.

Other new products showcased in this year’s booth include new features for end users, new tools for dealers, more wireless devices, and a focus on panel and video communications.
