Expanded Dual Authority Options for Added Flexibility
If you’ve previously purchased an Entré license, are current with your Entré support agreement, and have an Entré certified technician, you’ll now be able to install or update the new Entré Version 8.1 and have the benefit of assigning Dual Authority to Areas AND Profiles. Previously known as Two-Man Rule, DMP’s Dual Authority is expanding to give you more options for added flexibility.
In Area Information, your options for assigning Dual Authority are NONE, ARM, DISARM, and ALL in an area. Keep in mind, if DISARM is chosen, this option includes both Disarm and Access controls.
Not only can you control specific actions, but in Profiles, you now can specify which authorized users need Dual Authority for access or arming/disarming operations, based on what is programmed in Area Information. This will help facilitate granularity in assigning who requires Dual Authority, such as a third-party vendor or an individual who provides cleaning services; whereas you may want to require the two-person authorization requirement among other users, such as tellers in a bank. Now, you have the flexibility to specify that. Dual Control is a feature of the XR550N & E panels.
How You Can Prepare for the Installation of Entré 8.1?
Before installing or upgrading Entré, please review the following documents which can be found under Software Downloads on Dealer Direct or on Buy.DMP.com under Access Control Software.
Who Should You Contact if You Have Additional Questions?
Your Entré certified technician must be the one who calls DMP Technical Support for assistance. The copy of Entré being supported must also be current on annual support fees.
